Chevron Corp. (NYSE: CVX) has sold its 92-acre headquarters campus in San Ramon, California, to Sunset Development Co. as part of a plan to shift more workers to Houston. The energy giant will relocate from its 1.3 million-square-foot headquarters into 400,000 square feet less than a mile away at 2600 Camino Ramon, a 1.8 million-square-foot office building within Sunset's Bishop Ranch mixed-use development, according to the Sept. 28 announcement. Chevron's new leased space, which will serve as the company's new headquarters, can accommodate up to 2,000 employees, per a release from Sunset Development, which notes it will be built out and available for Chevron's use in late 2023.
